LET’S DANCE!

Stage Left Dance Co. offers high quality dance instruction in a variety of styles for all ages (2 and up) and abilities along with an award winning competition program for the dedicated dancer who wants to excel beyond the recreational level. Anyone 2 years old and up can enroll.

 CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

TWO MUCH FUN

30 MIN

This class is designed for 2 year olds. It highlights improving on Large and Small Motor skills while focusing on rhythm and movement set in a fun and interactive environment.

This program is a prelude to more formal dance instruction and introduce children to music and movement through a structured progression that stresses creativity and group interaction.

COMBO TAP & JAZZ

60 min

This class covers Jazz and Tap with introduction to ballet. This fun class is designed to introduce students to learning some basic tap and jazz skills allowing the students to experience each style of dance while improving their flexibility, sense of rhythm and overall coordination. This class performs 2 routines with 2 costumes in the annual recital.

Students will review and continue to learn all the basics along with the terminology and development of tap and jazz. Dancers practice a series of basic steps, adding more difficult combinations as they become more proficient. Combinations will consist of several basic steps connected with simple transitions.

BEG/INT BALLET

60 min

Ballet technique focuses on correct placement, body alignment and awareness for classical ballet technique.

A beginner ballet class for those who want to learn the basics of classical ballet. This class is also excellent for those who need a refresher ballet course! An intermediate ballet class for those with prior experience in classical ballet in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere. The techniques found in classical ballet are a framework for many other styles of dance, including jazz and contemporary ballet.

BOYS

60 min

A fun and energetic class that introduces music and movement to boys. This Boy’s Classes incorporates creative dance concepts with an emphasis on proper alignment, coordination and athleticism. This class performs 2 routines with 2 costumes in the annual recital.

LYRICAL

45 min

A fusion of ballet and jazz dance techniques. Movements in lyrical dance are choreographed to show the meaning of the music and are characterized by their grace, emotion and fluidity. It is highly recommended students take this class in conjunction with ballet.

This class performs 1 routine with one costume in the annual recital.

HIP HOP

45 min

This is a fun, energetic class combining street dance, hip-hop and jazz. This style of dance can be seen in music videos by pop artists. This class performs one routine with one costume in the annual recital.

POINTE

45 min

Enrollment by instructors approval. Dancer should have good technique and body placement to ensure movement is executed without injury. This class performs 1 routine with 1 costume in the annual recital.

ACRO

60 MIN

Acrobatics teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline & concentration. Acro is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. This class is great for students looking to enhance their agility, flexibility, & strength.

POLICIES

  • Monthly Tuition is due by the 1st of every month. You will be assessed a $15.00 late fee if it is not received by the 10th.
  • All accounts on auto payments will process the 28th of each month for the following month.
  • There is a $40 fee for any returned check or card payment. Any tuition owed that is over 60 days past due may result in dismissal from the class. If a dancer withdraws from a class(es), the current month tuition is non-refundable. Registration fee is non-refundable.
  • Registration fee is $20 dancer/ $25 per family
  • Recital fee of $40 dancer/ $60 per family applied with March tuition. If student drops within 60 days of recital or decides not to participate the recital fee is non-refunable.
  • Dancers are expected to be picked up on time after any class or studio event, there will be a $20 fee added for every 15 minutes they remain at the studio after business hours
  • In the event the minimum enrollment of 5 per class is not met, the class may be cancelled or merged with another class on a different date/time. We will try to accommodate as best as possible.
  • Costumes must be paid for in full before they can be taken home. No refunds will be given if the student drops the class prior to recital or decides not to participate in recital.
  • No street shoes, food or drink, except water is allowed in studio.
  • All dancers must demonstrate respect for instructors, staff and other dancers.
  • In the event of bad weather, the studio will update the voicemail, post on our social media pages and send an email notification.
